Robel Garcia and Adbert Alzolay are the perfect types of emotional infusion this roster needs. Many championship contending teams have that young midseason type call up that does very well in a semi-full time role. Adbert Alzolay should stay in the rotation and even less debatable is that Robel Garcia should be called up and installed at second until further notice. DFA Descalso. It is long past time.

So a .500 homestand. need to come out of a homestand +1.

Splitting with a quality opponent like the Braves is not that difficult to accept. But splitting with the Sox and Mets certainly is. I really like the way the bullpen looked today and hope we see Kinzler, Strop and Kimbrel piggy-back like that in the playoffs. Disappointed in how Chatwood pitched today though. Had hoped we would not see any 2017 Chatwood ever again and that is what we basically saw today. Time to waive Cargo. He just can't hit enough anymore. Cut their losses and do it sooner, rather than later.
