I think it's worse on the radio side. Pat and Ron make Len and JD sound like Caray and Piersall.

I think Coomer and Hughes do a good job of pointing out where a Cub made a mistake.

The days of a home team broadcaster taking a flamethrower to a player are long gone, but I don't think Pat and Ron hesitate to point out where a player makes a mistake, mental and/or physical.

Ya that's like snooze time on the radio. Hughes is so boring to listen to and can't even tell us the damn score and inning most of the time. He's mailed it in big time since he thinks he's protected now.

Yesterday he had a really bad home run call on the second Pirate homer. He basically call it a short pop fly, and then he had to backtrack and was astounded it went out. Wish I could find the audio...it was pretty funny.
