Isn't it nice to go into 2 seasons in a row with serious high hopes and not based on 112 what ifs coming through?

And while unlikely, if Harden is healthy and Marshall lives up to potential is this rotation going to be freaking awesome or what?

Zambrano scares me, and so does Dempster.
Z had some injury issues at the end of the year and looked a bit worn after the no no.
Dempster... never could really figure out why no one really hit Dempster. I don't expect the numbers he had last year at all.
Harden is going to be in 25 games maybe?
Lilly will toss 12-14 wins.
Marshall? Not counting on much.
Freaking awesome would be nice but unlikely.

If Harden holds up
If Marshall is good
If we find a closer
If we find a 2B that doesn't suck
If Fuku remembers how to hit the ball
If Bako remembers what a bat looks like
If Soriano stays healthy
If Ramirez stays healthy
If Zambrano stays sane
If Dempster is as good as last year

Shall I continue.....

High hopes for winning the division. That's about it though.

There's a myriad of ifs. Each season is filled with them. The summation of the ifs looks like this. If they play as well as they did last year through September, they will likely win the division. That if alone is HUGE. For the reasons listed earlier in the thread, this overriding IF has a lot of components. Nothing is promised. Nothing is guaranteed.
