No shit, why the hell is Weathers still in the league and making making Cub hitters look like shit? He can't bust a fucking grape.

In the classic Cub killer formula, he killed us before he was a Cub, killed us when he was a Cub, and kills us as an ex-Cub. Fucking priceless.

Well said, K-Thunk. There's a MasterCard commercial in there somewhere.

It's the Futility Trinity. Cubs and MasterCard ought to get together on that one. I'll only take a percent or two in royalty...

It bothers me to see Milton Bradley patrolling right field like Fred Sandford out there. I have a feeling that we are paying a DH to patrol right field every day. If his hamstring is really that bad he should get his suspension over with now and get ready to play when it is warmer this weekend in St. Louis. All of this would be a moot point if he was hitting .400.....but yeah hes not.

So far this has played out.

And he had an error out there today. Pretty sure the Hoff isn't an outfielder.

Not quite a sweep.

They should have been more concerned with Joey Votto, Jay Bruce, Johnny Cueto, Aaron Harang . . .

easy solution:

soriano in left
johnson in center
fukudome in right

hoffpauir off the bench and spot-starting for lee once every couple of weeks. if bad outfield was the plan, they should have signed dunn. at least he is consistent and can play every day. the milton bradley show is officially under way.

Dusty and Dick will fix Cueto and Harang soon enough...

Fair enough Phil. No arguments that Hoffpair isn't sure handed. I think judging by Pinella's comments
after that game that he knows that we need more D out there than "O" right now. Why is Ramirez hitting
5th? That is nuts. D-Lee is looking awful. We weren't going to win every series and the Reds are on the
come right now. BIG series this weekend in St Louis.

I was at the game, so here are some of my thoughts. Hoff is bad in the outfield, I knew this already, but he misplayed every ball today. Cotts needs to go, also knew this already. D-Lee needs to bat 7th, once Soto starts hitting. Last but not least, Miles was a bad signing. His bat speed sucks.

Give him a break. He just played 3 games against the best pitching staff in the league.

I expected to see a ballgame Thursday afternoon, but ended up at the Circus instead. Yeah, I saw a bunch of Clowns in Cub uniforms. That was a disgrace. Dusty had to be laughing on the Reds charter flight.

Given the sample size of the season played, I'd lend as much credence to the Reds SP stats as I would a dead cat bounce on Wall St.
Let the Dusty Dick magic work over the course of a season and we'll see.

Maybe Dusty's magic is just like Lou's magic in continuing to bat Lee 3rd?

Or maybe they have naught to do with each other?

One thing is certain... Frank will show up to denigrate the Cubs in Cubs Section threads.
