now they are back talking with the Hindrey group. The fucktards Ricetts can not come up with the cash. This is pitiaful, Sell the damn team to Cuban and get it over with!!!!!
http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/06/tribune-reopens-cubs-talks-with-ricketts-rival.html Sorry to burst your bubble, but unless Allan H. Selig submits his resignation as "Commissioner", Mark Cuban ain't buying the Chicago National League Ball Club! Selig & his owners still won't approve such a deal, and White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf would be among the owners that would vote thumbs down. The latest snag, based on what I've heard, is that the Ricketts Family had an exclusive window to raise the $$$$ to buy the Cubs, Wrigley Field & the 25% stake in Comcast SportsNet. That window is now closed, and Sam Zell, the current owner of cash-strapped Tribune Company, feels as if he can't find a buyer to get the team off their hands! As a result, if you think the Cubs can go after a marquee name by the MLB Trading Deadline, forget it.
