Saw nothing about this kid all spring after getting the inside scoop on him from the Cubs bullpen catcher, telling me the kid developed a great sinker. Asked my guy in spring training to look for him and he didnt even see the guy early.

Berg goes all of spring training without letting up more than 1 hit in all his appearances and then he makes the squad, and what happens to the kid yesterday. 1 IP 3 H 2 ER.

Everyone is entitled to a screw up unless you are K Gregg (Then you get 15 fuck ups), but this kid is worth watching.

Another young arm in the pen. I sort of like that. If they succeed, great. If they struggle...Lou will not feel obligated to let them fail 15 times before booting their ass to Iowa.

Speaking of not hearing anything about a pitcher....What happened to David Patton? I just googled his name and see he was optioned to double A. I'm so glad we saved a rosster spot for him all last year.
