OK Buddy, you got your Toyota sign! You raised the ticket prices! Your team sucks now.

YOUR MOVE! trades? Alleviate more payroll?

Let Colvin play everyday!

Bring up Josh Vitters? So we can erase him from the prospect list! and rename him Gary Scott!

Maybe we can start trading some of our surplus 2B now!

A new GM would be nice.

I'm not quite as psyched about Ricketts as I once was. I can't wait till the Cup shows up at Wrigley. It will be the only time a championship is celebrated there in my lifetime.

Unfortunately, the only power Ricketts has is to hire/fire the GM and Manager. Lineup changes and player callups are squarely on Lou and Hendry's shoulders. Lou, by all accounts, is done. Now he's yelling at Stone and chesting up to David Kaplan? Time to go, buddy.

Once again, this is what happens when you let guys continue to work who should be fired. Everyday that the 3 stooges are still employed by the Cubs is 1 more day further behind the Cubs are in rebuilding.
I would say that so far it appears that Rickett's doesn't have the balls to fire these lame ducks.

Well, initially he claimed that he wanted to "observe" the organization before making any changes. I thought he was a lifelong Cubs fan, how much observing did he need? Stone also thinks that Hendry isn't going anywhere for awhile. I'm giving Ricketts a pass until October. If he doesn't fire Lou and Hendry 10 seconds after the last game of the year, I will go negative on him in a New York minute.

No way Ricketts can let Lou, Jim & Larry finish the year. They gotta go no later than the All Star break.

Ricketts hs been hiding behind the "first year owner, lets see how things turn out" and I understand, but dont agree, but it is quite obvious changes need to be made ASAP.

Lou is done on the next off day. Hendry unfortunately will have to wait until the off season to get axed. The only problem is who manages the rest of the season. I really would not want Sandberg to have to start off in this type of clubhouse environment with all this dysfunction and factions of veterans.

How about firing Hendry & replacing him with Steve Stone? Now,I'd buy that for a dollar!

Considering Stone has become Anti Cub, this would be a great move to announce publicly, so Stone can trun it down as he has "chosen" to do other things.

I think Lou might finish the season, but if they make a change Trammell could finish out the season and Sandberg or someone else (LaRussa-with Duncan as pitching coach??) could be named as manager this winter.

Hendry did a piss poor job this offseason. He STILL doesn't have a legit leadoff hitter and put together a pathetic bullpen. A change really needs to be made with the GM position this offseason.

I believe that Ricketts will make changes, but with the kind of coin he's paying Hendry and Piniella, making a change now with a ballclub going nowhere, is pointless-unless he's afraid Hendry might screw up at the trade deadline, when guys like Lilly and Lee will likely be dealt. I'm just hoping that Castro, Cashner and Colvin develop and they can be a part of the core going forward. I didn't expect much of this squad prior to the seasons start and they have given me no reason to change my opinion of their chances now.

Lee and Lilly free up $25M. Get a good GM and go get a slugging lefty 1B like Adrian Gonzalez.

For all the shit you take here, this is realistic as hell.
First, if I am Ricketts, I AM GOING TO TRY LIKE HELL TO CUT THAT PAYROLL.....He has already seen enough.
THIS CORE GROUP OF OLD MEN ARE NOT GOING THE WORLD SERIES ANYTIME SOON.
Get Young.
RICKETTS WOULD BE AN ABSOLUTE IDIOT TO ADD TO THIS PLAYER PAYROLL.

Fire Hendry, let Lou resign, and god almighty, do not fucking bring Rothschild back to work with yet another manager. There has to be another pitching coach out there. It seems like Larry has been here for the last 50 years of the World Series drought.

At this point would you rather have Jim Hendry as your GM, or have someone else? I'll take someone else. Same goes for Lou. Let Trammell finish out the year & let someone else handle the GM duties because Hendry cant do anything right. I really dont understand how Hendry still has his job after the lousy decisions he has made the last 3 years. He deserved to be fired after last season & probably would have been if ownership didn't change hands.
I think Ricketts is out of his league & element as the Cubs owner & really has no fucking clue what to do, who to turn to, who to talk to, & who to hire.

Hiring ANYBODY in June is plain stupid.
You can bet Hendry will be given no money to make any moves of any significance.

Which Cubs ownership has been "in their league" and "in their element" for the last 65 years?

Just let the farm director or director of scouting do it or even jointly do it until the off season.

I still think that the Ricketts should let it leak that they are investigating sites to possibly build a new stadium. If they even hinted that they were serious about it, Da Mare and Alderman Bakery Boy and the rooftop owners would shit their collective pants.

Rip that shithole excuse for a place to play baseball down. Baseball as a whole would be better off without the cubs and their drunk stupid lemmings in existance.
