First Mr Ricketts needs to come down from the office and talk to the "Baseball People" and find out what "The Plan" is?

To allow Jim Hendry to allow/suggest that it is time to trade for the future, it might be a great time to decide if he is part of that future or not? Hendry has 1 year left on his deal at $5 mill and I can promise you if made the call to Rick Hahn tonight he would be your GM tomorrow morning for $1 million to start! Sure, he would be torn and it would be as tough as could be to say goodbye to Uncle Jerry, but the guy grew up as a Cubs fan and would make this move to be the GM of the Cubs without a doubt.

The REBUILDING starts with these trades that are right around the corner and to allow a guy you don't expect to be here to make those trades is just foolish. Yes, the LA Angels would take D Lee today! Someone will take Silva off your hands! etc etc. This is why you fire Hendry now. If you don't I then expect to see an extended contract with him as the GM the Ricketts have chosen to fix the problem he created.

Lou is done. Lou might even tell you he is done, but as long as Hendry is around NO WAY Lou gets fired. Hendry would never fire Lou out of baseball respect. Hendry takes losses to retain respect of his peers, which is one major reason he should be fired.

Is Sandberg your next Manager? Once again, if he is, you should know it by now and bring him up. Let him get some MLB time, let him sit with Trammel, Larry, Ivan, etc. Let him get see the problems NOW, not to start next year!

In both cases, the time is NOW, not next year and then let them grow into the job. These positions are high paid executives and are paid so to take care of such messes. Finding new people to start next year is a huge mistake, because then we will get the inevitable "Give them some time...." that we could be working on this year!

This is a necessity. All they need to do is look at the Hawks 3 years ago when Savard got thrown into the fire without any experience at any level. I know Sandberg has had the last couple of years in the minors, but that still isn't a lot of time when they have the veteran egos that may still be left next year.

All this could happen Bigfan, but I dont think any major moves will happen till after the all star break.

Lou's body language isnt too reassuring. Hendry should have been gone a while ago, but the leak that McDonough was behind the Soriano thing has saved him so far IMO.

Not sold on this Ryno thing. Sure it would sell tix, but does anyone know how good of a mgr he really is?

Sandberg has dedicated himself to becoming a MLB manager. He is not the quiet guy who was here as a player. Totally different guy.

I don't know if he is good or is going to be a good, but if the Ricketts have a plan for the guy, then let's make the move now.
