Nice to see that even in a pitchers park, Dempster still gives up bombs.

Dude, you looked at the ball, you HAD to see that it was going to be caught!

MLB.tv won't let me watch this game on my computer, and so I'm watching Clayton Kershaw rip through the LA Angels of Anaheim, CA lineup instead.

Lou should have sat Soriano after that play, but Lou is just collecting checks now.

Byrd and Colvin choke in key at bats, pretty much losing the game.

Depends on what you call "luck" - I started Tommy Hanson in two of my fantasy leagues today, and I had to pay $150 or so at the beginning of the season for the luxury of watching three innings of Kershaw's unremarkably stellar start against Los Angels.

I don't think a new thread is needed for each series. I can just reread the same posts every 3 days from April or May and get the same idea on how the team is doing.

Me too, and Danks. At one point yesterday, my ERA was over 11. Fortunately, Danks ended up with a good game, Linececum did very well, and Fuentes, Wilson, and Lidge all had perfect 9th inning saves so the day wasn't a total loss.

Seattle's offense is terrible.

Norm's bar in Seattle sells bottles of Bud and Bud Light at whatever Milton Bradley's current batting average is.

That Mariner lineup is painful to look at

When does a win feel kind of hollow?
When it's to avoid a sweep in Seattle while knowingly on your way to another sweep on the road/at home sorta.

Rest ye well, Darkside, if there's one team that'll cut like a buzzsaw through the Good Times White Sox, it's the Cubs. I predict 2-1 in favor of the Cubs, and the Sox will go back to sucking.

Dead serious.

edit: in fact, the only way the Cubs don't win this series is if they don't end up playing it this weekend due to the weather.

That's crazy. Sox win like 9 in a row, three straight sweeps... they're at home. I gotta say Sox take at least 2.

The Cub will lucky to score five runs in the three games. The Sox offense is clicking and the Cub made the lousy Mariner offense look adequate.
The Cub win one game, maybe.

Strange things always happen between these two teams, especially in the past few years. If I were a betting man I'd take my Cubs 2-1 prediction to a book.
