Think about it though. As an outside observer not trying to troll this is an issue that can make many Cub fans upset. It was built up as a done deal. All the sustained excellence, the bites at the apple, the market inequities and all of the waves of talent. Cub fans were led to expect more.

So now the excellence may have paused or simply slowed down a touch. Other teams are rising or have risen.

It is to be expected. You got a World Series win and want more. Maybe you will maybe not but it does not make the current season(s) and games any less stressful simply because the win happened.
