It is September, why didn't Joe PH for Heyward when they brought the lefty in to face him with the bases loaded?

For all the flak Schwarber took early in the season (and lot of it was justified) he has turned it on the last month or so. He is going to finish with close to 40 HR and 90 RBI. Now only if Bryant and Baez can get going....

Schwarbs outscored the Bears.

And the To baseball teams combined to score more than their football counterparts

Mr. Reason....because there's ALWAYS a reason.

Once again, ever since Mr. Reason came in here on that fateful friday night after the road loss in Pittsburgh, and he slapped the shit out of anyone in his path, anyone that tried to argue with him, the Cubs haven't lost a road game. 6 straight road wins.

I dont know how Mr. Reason was able to intercept a TV signal in the South that night, but he did, and when he absorbed another road loss he came here and whipped the shit out of everyone in here.

Cubs havent lost on the road since.

Leads the team in RBI since August 1. If his ceiling is going to be 230-240 , 30 HR, 80 RBI , I can live with it even though it’s not Babe fuckin’ Ruth. It’s still productive .

Yes, a loss still sucks and it hurts to see Hamels have another poor outing, but this doesn't seem that bad for some reason. Seems like one of those inevitable "it's baseball" losses and we can easily turn around and get a W tomorrow

That has Joe Maddon written all over it

Bases loaded, no one out. A minor miracle they got one.

Was anyone confident that Bryant was going to get a hit off Hader? I wasn't.

Bote could have 100 swings of the bat off Hader and he wouldn't make contact.

Yelich is going to hit one out

See Bryant.....that's what an MVP does

And where are all those people that kept saying Russell is a better defensive shortstop than Baez?
