Dear Chicago Cubs Fans:

JQ-art will be holding an upcoming auction for the original, SWEET SUMMER CHICAGO,
oil on board, painted by artist J Quillian.

The painting of SWEET SUMMER CHICAGO was at the behest of social
friends, former Cubs scout, Hank Lott and Cubs legend, Ernie
"Mr Cubs" Banks.

SWEET SUMMER CHICAGO features the historic Wrigley Field, as the
baseball seems to be flying at you no matter where you are in the room.
Famous Cubs announcer, Harry Caray, looks on through the clouds.

The 30" X 40" oil on board work is presently on exhibit at the Atlas
Life Building lobby in Tulsa, Oklahoma but will be transferred to a
Chicago location prior to the auction.

The auction is set to start the morning of February 29, 2008 and will end the
evening of March 21st, 2008.

The painting can be viewed at the JQ-art website : http://jq-art.com/gallery/chicago_gallery.htm

If you RSVP by February 22nd, one week prior, that you will be participating in the auction,
we will mail you a signed print of the painting. (RSVP can be done through e-mail,
CHolmesArt@gmail.com, or by phone 918-582-5527)

JQ-art will handle all costs of shipping and handling for the prints and the painting.
We use an accredited museum art shipper from Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK.

If you require further information about this auction, please do not
hesitate to contact us by phone at (918) 582-5527 or e-mail
at following address at ArtsSmart2@gmail.com, or my personal e-mail
CHolmesArt@gmail.com

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Carrie Holmes

I'm surprised that the painting has no misspelled words.

Did you also just send me a Viagra spam mail?

No, I'm a real person, not a Cubs fan myself, if you didn't notice by the misspelling. I fixed it. Please forgive me!

I'm not a cubs fan either, but you've missed something else.

It looks like the vendor is throwing a bra. Since when did Wrigley have a tent in the left-field bleachers? And why the hell is there a baseball shooting for Harry's mouth?

The bleachers do not reflect the additions that Wrigley Field has made. Also, to the right of the dudes hand on the left hand side, as you look to the right what is that white thing?

I think everyone should email/call her. Jesus Christ
Hey- I don't know any of you internet people but I am sure you are all as nice as my friends here in Tulsa. Here is all of my contact information.

I can understand ripping on the painting if you don't like it, but how am I to fault for that?
I'm just doing my job here, trying to get the word out about the upcoming auction. I fixed the problems with the invite, I'm glad you all set it straight. But personal attacks against me? Come on.

Has this art been checked to make sure that an original copy of the declaration of independence is not behind it?

Hey with all the typos, lets just be happy this is a painting and not a book.

I wonder if they will also be selling a painting at the behest of Frank "Big Hurts" Thomas, Lance "One Dogs" Johnson, and Carlton "Pudges" Fisk for us White Sox fans.

I'd rather they do it for all or one of the following players; Bartolo Cologne, Maggie Ordonez, Jermayne Die, or Erin Rowand.

That looks like a drunken/hungover Ryan Dempster throwing a meat ball up to the plate that he knows will get creamed. And by the looks of things, if its a lefty at the plate and he gets a hold of it, the ball will land in Lake Michigan. Harry Caray looks creepy, and I'm not quite sure why a Cub fan would want to hang anything with a Billy Goat on it in thier home.

This thing is so ugly its funny.

From the artist's biography:

"Shortly before the 2000 millennium, Quillian created a new painting genre, biographical portraiture."

As opposed to the 1000 millennium.
