Friday 7:15pm, CSN
Ryan Dempster (1.0 5.00) vs. Adam Wainwright (2-0 3.31)

Saturday 3:10PM FOX
Sean Marshall (0-0 4.50) vs. Mitchell Boggs (0-0 4.50)

Sunday 1:15pm WGN-TV
Rich Harden (1-1 4.20) vs. Todd Wellemeyer (1-1 5.29)

Cubs aren't playing good ball right now. But, the weather is to improve this weekend, and injured players should all be available, so the Cubs figure to put the best team they can on the field this weekend. Cubs need to win two because the Cards are starting to pull away.

Pitching matchups look favorable for the cubs if you exclude the game tonight. Bullpen has not been sharp and the hitting has been non existant. The way the Cubs are playing right now I say they only take 1 out of 3. While I am not panicking I would like to start seeing a little consistancy from them.

They take 2 of 3 and I'll be tickled. Given the way the Cubs have been playing, the only reason they beat the Cards 2 of 3 a week ago was the fact that their bullpen sucked worse than ours. The weather may impact this series as well with rain tomorrow and Sunday a possibility. Just the wildcard this series needs.

Should leave Soriano in the one hole. Move Ram to the 3rd. Really didn't need to move the whole order around.

The only change that helped the Cubs so far tonight was putting in Ludwick for defensive purposes... Thank goodness for gifts and opposition errors. Otherwise, Wainwright was cruising.

The injury bug that they've been largely able to avoid the last two seasons may well be coming to collect some back rent. Not good.

Goddammit.

Well I guess all the talk about Fontenot being a everyday player can stop. He has been horrible since the first week. The DeRosa trade is looking horrible each day, with the production of Miles and Fontenot, and now with the Ramirez injury.

Wow, the ump behind the plate rings up Johnson on a really low pitch and lets Bradley walk on one that was a few inches higher.
