Game 1 Monday
Zambrano v. Lowe 3:10p ESPN and the UUUUUU!

Game 2 Wednesday
Dempster v. Jurrjens 6:10p CSN+

Game 3 Thursday
Wells v. Hanson 6:10p CSN

Man I am glad to have some baseball back.
Last year, Lowe had the 2nd highest WHIP of his career. This dude Jurrjens is very good. Tommy Hanson is little more than a rookie, but was very impressive in 21 starts last year going 11-4 with a 2.89 ERA, 1.183 WHIP and 7.4 k/9. Just the right guy to completely befuddle hapless Cubs hitters.

I still do not get why you have one game and then a day off.

isn't it to allow espn to focus all attention on the game they are showing?

The Cubs might beat Lowe but the other two are perfect "Cub Killers". They always struggle against rookies, up and comers, down and outers and never really coulds.

In case of bad weather...that way they can get in the game the next day...people who buy opening day tickets want to see opening day...

Jair and Hanson are highly touted prospects Jair is already a stud and Hanson is on his way. Braves are gonna be good. Very interested to see Heyward. Cubs win 1 of 3.

Odd that Lowe would get the Opening Day nod, he's probably the 4th best starter they have (Hudson is pretty damn good).

That being said, I've seen Lowe and his sinker befuddle the Cubs plenty of times..

Randy Wells for Cy Young. Castro and Colvin for co-ROTY.

Hmm. I went with some high life, however I do have some blue kool-aid that i could mix with it. Actually I could just use some food coloring and start a st patty's dayesque trend that will sweep the nation.

I am gonna pile on this. For me, opening day is better now the baseball tool originator of the segment where piling on was accepted is off the air.

I've heard Heyward already being compared to Dave Winfield and Hank Aaron. He is a phenom supposedly the best hitting prospect since Pujols..

Fuck ESPN and MLB. There is no reason this national broadcast should be blacked out when I am in Ohio.

Check that, its actually on now. Apparently 10 more minutes of tiger woods bullshit was more important than some pregame.

The Reds game is still on. The Cubs should be on after 4 more outs.

Its actually on now even with the reds giving up grand slams and extending their misery. I have no idea what the rules are anymore. Nothing makes sense, but its actually on so now I can chill and enjoy some baseball finally.

Heyward looked AMAZING on that routine fly out.

Fukudome would be a nice 9 hitter for an al team.

Not just anyone can chew gum and look directly into the sun and pimp a catch like that. 8) He also did a fine job getting the ball back to the cut-off man on Fuk's hit.

The way he just gave way to the CF and then backed him up was so smooth. You cant teach that.

That Homerun was 40% muscle, 40% skill, and 20% Good Vibrations from the clubhouse.
