Monday: 7:05 p.m., WGN-9. LH Clayton Kershaw (5-4, 3.29) vs. LH Tsuyoshi Wada (1-1, 3.68).

Tuesday: 7:05 p.m., CSN. RH Zack Greinke (5-2, 1.81) vs. RH Jason Hammel (5-2, 2.89).

Wednesday: 7:05 p.m., CSN. RH Mike Bolsinger (4-2, 2.87) vs. RH Kyle Hendricks (2-3, 4.28).

Thursday: 1:20 p.m., ABC-7. RH Carlos Frias (4-5, 4.68) vs. LH Jon Lester (4-5, 3.80).

This is what we call a "bad match-up". Doyers take 3 of 4.

Gotta hand it to Wood, he's been pretty good coming out of the pen tonight in an emergency situation. And it was great to see Bryant break out of his mini-slump with a 2 run shot to the opposite field.

Power outage. Been a good game and the weather is weird.

Are they playing again? I've heard something about a power surge and Maddon playing under protest...

That's some bullshit to play a game with a quarter of the lights out, particularly in light (ha!) of the fact the opponent took the top of the inning in proper light. Clearly a competitive disadvantage.

Just saw Cubs up 3-1 in 7th. We lost the game on WGN in the Illinois Valley. We got Tom, Micah & Mark and weather panic... Thanks, HG.

So the Cubs hit a homer, but I can't see it because WGN just had to take a phone call from a guy in a bar WHO SAYS HE DOESN'T SEE ANYTHING

My cousin has a hunting & fishing trailer at that Woodhaven place they are talking about.

I'm watching the game on WGN on split screen with the news.

I know people that have them there. Is it really bad in Chicago? Like stopping a game for an emergency bad?

They finally went to split screen. Just in time to see Rondon retire the Dodgers and Bryant go deep AGAIN!

I've never seen WGN do this. Split screen for the Cubs with Skilling talking about the weather. They've broken in with warning but not like this. Maybe it's cuz WGN sports is no longer national. Just local now.

But the advertisers need to get their money back as they're not showing commercials between innings.

I'm curious if Lenny is still doing the play by play even though it's not being broadcast.

That fastball never had a chance of Bryant not crushing it. I love it.

I just turned on WBBM AM 780 & Ron Gleason is doing play by play! WTF? He isn't bad.

Evidently, the power surged at Wrigley and some of the lights are still out? We got socked pretty good here and it is coming east toward the city. Tornadoes touched down in Sterling and near Mendota and Kewanee and Sublette?

I'm guessing people with the MLB package nationally are getting the broadcast.

This is what we call a "bad match-up". Doyers take 3 of 4.

It seems as though WGN has recently gone to more of the ZOMG! weather reports. I know they love running out that "life saving" app commercial, but it's a bit much to be taking phone calls from people only to tell us there's no storm going on anymore.

It's apparently bad enough, beyond the split screen favoring the weather reports, that WGN has kinda gone hometown local affiliate and is taking calls from folks and having conversations with them ... so far no "Bababui" calls though.

This is bullshit they don't have game audio and stuff.

There are other stations people can get this info. And the internet.

People in Sublette never even heard of that...

CUBS Win! CUBS Win! CUBS Win!

I know it shouldn't matter in this day and age, and I know the save is probably an overrated stat. That being said, I've never been a fan of the closer by committee.

Since CLTV is their Trib owned network, you'd think they'd put it on there and inform people they can hear the broadcast while still doing the split on WGN. But nobody there thinks of such things.
