Those two have slowly been showing signs of life this series, unlike big country. Still blows my mind that a month into the season Bote has outperformed Bryant offensively in less than half the number of at bats.

Over the last two weeks Bryant is hitting .229 with 0HR 2RBI and 4 2B, good for a .340ish slugging % which is being dwarfed by his .386 OBP over that time period. he's taking some walks, which is I guess why even a chronic lineup tinkerer like Joe has him locked in the 2-spot sink or sunk (cuz swimming is for pansies who ain't gonna go for that 300mil+ contract extension sooner or later =)

Now if Darvish can get that walk rate down (from ~7 per 9) to around 5 and uhhhh the division keeps beating itself up maybe this .500ish/+ team will be able to hang around long enough to get hot and get lucky?
