Just stick to the Sox forum and you won't have to analyze.

You are welcome in advance.
I think I'll go to the thread about national league superiority instead.

Also, he wouldn't be the first superstar corner infielder to move to the OF for the better of the team.

Chipper Jones did it in Atlanta, and even more recently a 400 year old Lance Berkman did it with the Cardinals.

Lance Berkman came up as an outfielder. He never played 1B until the second half of his career. He wasn't exactly converted from 1B to OF. He went back to his natural position. That doesn't fit your narrative too well.

I mean come on dude, that's more bullshit than JORR could sling.

Berkman played 120+ games as a 35 year old in 2011 for the Cardinals. The last game at OF he played before that was in 2007 when he played 30 games in the OF. The last time he played the majority of games in the OF was 2004 when he was 28 years old.

That's awesome. I don't know shit about Lance Berkman, but you literally just confirmed what IMU said, while calling it bullshit,

When Berkman was 27 his natural position was OF, when he was 36 his natural position was the DL, but he went to the OF for the better of the team.

Guys careers are fluid, what makes sense as a natural position at 28 is different from what a natural position is at 40.

Well unless Rizzo ages in dog years, this isn't really relevant to the original point you were arguing.

No, the original point is that the natural position for both Rizzo and Schwarber, today, is 1b.

Only one of those guys can play 1b. Well I guess both can, but having two guys at 1b and no LF is a bad defensive alignment.

My original point is that Rizzo, more athletic and geared towards doing what is better for the team, is less shitty in LF than Schwarber.

It isn't happening so lets stop.

Isn't it technically a double and then thrown out trying to "advance?"

No. It was a single where he was thrown out trying to advance to second. He was never established as safe at second base.

In 9 post season games and 30 PA's.

.370 .393 .593

He is probably the last one I would expect to be coming thru in the playoffs. Continue to bash and run at your leisure Javy!

Pressure can't get to someone with that type of personality.

It is the soft-spoken ones like Rizzo that apparently cave.

Rizzo needs to have some beers before the game.

Not sure Paul Konerko has enough post-season games played to analyze how he does in the post-season. Too small of a sample size. Baez might pass his career post-season appearances this year.

Baez, along with Bryant are about the only guys hitting besides the pitchers in the NLDS series so far. Have to believe Baez is given 2B full time in 2017. Not sure what they do with Zobrist, except return him to the role of super utility guy. I love Baez at 3B, but with Schwarber returning in 2017, Bryant will be at 3B full time most likely. Ideal might be Schwarber in LF, Bryant in RF, Baez at 3b and Zobrist stays at 2B, with Heyward traded for a bag of baseballs.

Ideal would be trading Schwarber in a package for Sale or Quintana...replacing Hammel in the Cubs rotation.

Sale perhaps. because of his ultra club-friendly deal as well as talent. but look at Sale's production in the 2nd half of the past few seasons.....he tails off and the ERA climbs. He has fabulous 1st halves and then comes back to earth. Plus, I don't like his ME attitude that allows him to cut up not only his own uniform, but those of many others, nor his bizarre statements about Drake Laroche being a team leader. Weird guy. Schwarber has rare power. The kind that comes along very seldom, without HGH or steroids. Ideally, he would be at 1B, as he was never a great catcher and in LF will be okay perhaps, but not a plus defender by any means. But the bat.....

Baez is probably the most exciting player to watch on the team right now. hitting , defensively, running the bases....he puts on a show. Sure he is prone to making mistakes once in a while, but he's a tremendously instinctual player with exceptional skills.

At least you're not 312player. He follows baseball and the Cubs a lot more than you and got it just as wrong.

This sack of shit has zero plate discipline, he sucks. I don't even think he's rosterable.
