Good thoughts.

All players would love to do the Cubs a solid any time they can. It's the Cubs.

A REAL ASS OWNER, like Steinbrenner would bully him into suicide, like ol Georgie did with FAT TOAD Hideki Irabu.

It doesn't seem like any "expert" I have heard considered the option of trading him by eating some of that money.

Chatwood looked like a good signing..the rest looked bad at the time. Even Lester was a decent signing but most cub fans wanted Scherzer instead.. Max was clearly the better move.

Why did it look like a good signing.

The entire basis of the contract seemed to be based on him not pitching at Coors with little recognition of the control problems.

I thought it was good because he has good stuff and fairly cheap, I didn't expect him to win a CY but I thought he could out produce Lackey.

I don't recall ever seeing the much postulated trade-prospects-to-get-rid-of-bad-money move. Either way, Cubs have no prospects to give anymore. At least no $100m prospects.

The Japanese, typically, don't have to be bullied into Seppuku.

Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish underwent arthroscopic surgery Wednesday to remove debris from his right pitching elbow.

Darvish, who was shut down three weeks ago after being diagnosed with a stress reaction on the top of his elbow, is expected to be ready for spring training.

Over under on his 1st start of 2019 is May 1st. What are you taking?

I'll say May 19th.

This one scared everyone straight.

The Braves acquired RHP Bronson Arroyo (owed $13M) and RHP Touki Toussaint from the Diamondbacks in exchange for INF Philip Gosselin.

That was an extraordinarily bad move by the D’Bags.
