No question Almora is the better defender. But.....

BA/OBP/SLG - happ leads Almora in 2 out of three.

That just surprised me. I expected Almora to be 3/3.

To say Almora gets no praise is not right.

There have been plenty of us around here clamoring for Almora to play more.

Following up on this as happ started the year as complete dog shit, what does his recent line look like.

Ops over 1.000 the last 30 days. Say what you want, happ is earning his time.

I think Joe's mixing and matching has been going pretty well lately. Happ has been doing a good, almora a great job and Zobrist a very good job. The games when the rest of the offense is in the tank, Happ seems to be finding ways to get on base with either base hits or walks. Heyward has been so damn hot and consistent that he more than happ is probably cutting into Almora's playing time. If anyone needs a day off for almora to get in the lineup more its probably schwarber or russell (with happ or Z playing 2b). Even those guys have done pretty well so its hard to screw with this thing. I'd just keep on keeping on and have everyone well rested the rest of the season.

The starting pitching is what needs to get its dick out of the dirt.

Starting Happ and bringing in Almora seems great for pinch hit situations. His contact skills are idea for an at bat with a man on needing a hit. Then you keep him in the game to close the game out with ++ defense.

This Cardinals team was done when Schwarbs deposited that ball on top of the video board.

almora swings at some shit in cruch time though. He does so many good things but I have seen him on numerous occasions come up with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs and have a javy strike zone.

The beef in the front row behind home plate is unbelievable. Even for a Cubs game.

the brewers are winning tonight as the dodgers have pissed away scoring opportunity after scoring opportunity. With that in mind, score some fucking runs or lose.

No doubt he shouldnt be swinging at shit, but that was way too close for the ump to not check with the 1st base ump

They should be up 5 or 6 -1. Its one of those games where you leave so many ducks on the pond that you end up getting walked off before its all over.
