I agree. Except that Morel is not only the most versatile fielder, he's the one who is poor at the most positions.

The only interesting Cubs & Sox games this year is when they blow big leads and have to fight for their lives.

Parkins going scorched earth on pathetic Cubs, great show.

Boog, JD, and Girardi give in-depth analysis of Cubs player and in-game positives. But offer short generic or no opinions when things go wrong or Grandpa Rossy makes a bonehead move. Often there'll be complete extended awkward silence when the Cubs "journeymen" collapse.

Playing at a 74 win pace isn't some great shock as Parkins is desperate for content.

The `23 Cubs aren't a team to invest too much in as a fan. They have some entertaining games late innings blowing
leads. Winning streaks are meaningless how they stink it up quickly after. Once this rag-tag bunch of place holding "journeymen" is gone the prospects will be under the spotlight. They could easily be cellar dwellars through the `20s. But, still pushing Cubs culture.

That's some bullshit about them closing the roof between innings. Fuck the Brewers

The poor play of his "journeymen quality humans" is what's really getting to Grandpa Rossy.

that was the most oddly satisfying wins in the post-Cub playoff relevance years. brewers fans must've been pretty chippy leaving that stadium.

Blowing a 4-0 lead has to feel pretty irritating. Yes, they got the win, but it wasn't a win I'd be thumping my chest over.

Theyre not a good team. They shouldnt be thumping their chest over any wins even though it runs counter to the whole " hey look at me " culture in baseball.

After blowing a 6-0 lead the previous day and losing, coming away with a win, especially such a dramatic one, makes up for it.

True savvy Cubs fans deserve better than a win that puts them from a 74 win pace to a 75 win pace. This team is built for willing dupes sheep mentality Cubs fans not the true Cubs fan.

It’s hard to believe that there’s a starting pitcher in Chicago thats been a lot worse than Lance Lynn but somehow the Cubs found him and gave him a big contract.

They steal one to offset Monday's collapse. They could have been going for the sweep.

Just got back to the hotel. The look on the Brewers’ faces coming off the field after the top of the 9th was precious.

Stroman on pace for 212 innings in `23 (highest in career.). Burying himself on the IL still could happen but he wants to be durable in a contract year. Sitting out the All-star game for rest has to be more about his new upcoming contract than his beloved `23 (on a 75 win pace) Cubs playoff drive. He's got a 7.71 era his last 3 games and he knows his 2.96 era is inching closer to his career 3.56.
