The Cubs got a bullpen arm!

That's good!

It's Drew Pomeranz, who'd been out of the majors for three years.

That's bad.

Here he is.

I do not understand having Harper and Schwarbs batting back to back. The lefty relievers are chewing em up.

COnsiderin' the Cubs were favored yesterday, I'm surprised the Phillies are favored today.

This seems like an easy Cubs moneyline bet.

Lazardo vs Brown.

Also, total is only 6.5? Cubs average that many on their own. This seems like an easy Over.

It was a 4-0 game yesterday, and the wind is blowing in today.

good stuff yesterday from wainwright, telling us the how and why 2-pitch brown's mechanics were off on his curve...flattened out to get paper-cutted to death. maybe hottovy was listening and could learn a thing or two about pitching. a slumping phillies club got healthy, real quick off brown. rosenthal basically telling us the cubs masterminds got luzardo wrong and the phillies got luzardo correct and hinting he doesn't believe the cubs will extend tucker.

won't get this type of commentary and opinion on the channel with bluesy electric guitar.

goin with the Over -8 again tonite, and a Cub win.

For some reason the Phillies were favored earlier today, and now it's flipped to the Cubs.

Between the Marquee music and the Cubs' "Chicago blues" uniforms, there's something mildly distasteful about the north side team trying so hard to wrap themselves in black culture.

i'm confident bruce levine will ask counsell if he's considering moving fansby down the order. these guys couldn't keep up their hitting pace. regardless of tucker and suzuki smoking the ball or not - fansby is still striking out, rolling into DPs and popping up. in fansby's last 10 games, 42 PA and 20Ks/2BBs. you can't bat this guy 5th. biggest cub contracts over the past decade, heyward and fansby. the cubs lucky 1 run today was courtesy of a wind-blown double for nico. these guys should play the park and conditions better than they do.

as is, the club losing 2 out of 3 to the formerly slumping phillies at home is foreshadowing 2025 playoff baseball. wind howling in on saturday, fansby trying for the 460 foot HR. luzardo looked like he was pitching to a little leaguer and fansby has the L-R advantage. we've heard 3 years of excuses for this guy on marquee. he'll get hot for a 4-5 game stretch, then revert to trying to jerk everything out of the park for 3 weeks. drop him in the order.

Before the season began, I would have been quite content with 14-15 against this schedule and was expecting 13-16. 17-12 is great, but now they have to step on the Brewers' and Reds' necks in interdivisional play.

I just posted in the other thread, I'm watching the pirate feed, they didn't show it. But yes, someone fell out of the stands onto the warning track. Based on the players' reactions, he may have been badly injured :(

Nice win against Skenes today...only two strikeouts and 3 HR's against one of the top pitchers today.

getting moved down the order has done wonders for dansby - no more fansby, unless he reverts back to nonsensical hitting. took counsell's recent comments about hitting and weather conditions as a mini alert after the phillies series. he watched what we watched, unacceptable. cubs and swanson responded well, they were likely to lose a series to the worst club in the division and they beat skenes. they'll need to take 2 of 3 from the crew, have to keep rolling.
