A couple of relievers who would like to get some work care. Who would like to show what they can do. Bass or Norwood or whoever they are. They are sitting out there hoping to work and they have to watch Epstein's pet Rizzo all smiles as he gets to somebody else's job.

As far as 12 games in 11 days, they used that excuse up on Friday. Fine. Once in a while as a goof, we all love it.

Position players have no business pitching in a 7-1 game in the top of the 8th. I don't really wish physical harm on the players, but Maddon needs a comeuppance. That was only going to happen in one of two ways: Caratini or Rizzo getting hurt, or the Cubs scoring 6 in the last two innings but those guys giving up even more runs to put it out of reach.

I had no problem at all with LaStella and others pitching the other day in a 15-1 blowout.
