I wouldn't cry if Kintzler, Brandon was omitted either.

It's a one game playoff, so guys like Quintana will not be on it, but I guarantee Wilson will be on it. I am guessing Addison Russell will not either. I doubt we see him in a Cubs uniform again.

Yes, I screwed up the season series....each team took 3 games.

So it's a one game playoff huh...

Just go away.

Not for nothing, but if there is one lefty to get out tonight, I'd rather run Quintana out there than Wilson.

Quintana should be left off the roster, along with Hendricks, who will pitch the first game on Thursday, should the Cubs advance. Hendricks was warming up in the bullpen yesterday and he should NOT be throwing at all again today. Maddon has fucked up Morrow and Strop already this year. Don't need that moron to screw up Hendricks too. If their best starting pitcher on full rest can't get it done, just accept that 2018 wasn't gonna be their year again and start planning on how to make the club stronger in 2019.

So your opinion is that if Lester has a bad day the Cubs should just mail it in?

All of this tonight just for a chance to play the Brewers. If the Cubs win today I would think that Milwaukee having home field actually would help the Cubs as well.

Even Rocky lost the first fight.

If Davis is pitching, the team screwed up already.

Cubs need to put double-digit runs up on the board and get fired up for a playoff run.

What was their thought process for thinking giving a walking injury like Morrow was a good idea. Maddon has made dopy decisions this year, but the blame for this season falls on the Front office and the horrific decisions of Darvish/Chatwood, and Morrow. Awful.

I get that Wade Davis is healthy, but he pitched to a 4+ ERA this year and had a save percentage less than 90%.

Let's not anoint him as some otherworldly 2018 closer.

I'd make the argument that if the Rockies had a better closer, they wouldn't be playing in Chicago tonight.

I get it, but Davis(who has been lights out the last month) will take the ball tonight..Morrow won't. Letting Rondon walk was a horrible decision too.

The front office will make it up by signing Machado and shoring up the bullpen this winter. Lots of great bullpen arms will be free agents.

Morrow had a documented, well documented, history of being a complete china doll even before the signing took place. They are a smart front office but you have to admit they completely fucked up this off-season.

It wasn't just Morrow. MANY other pitchers either regressed and/or were hurt this season. That just magnifies the "incorrect" moves that were made, and the moves that weren't made- like resigning Arietta.

Like RFDC said, hindsight is always 20/20. However, when you look at Chapman and Davis, it appeared that the Cubs were always looking to move on from Rondon even though he did a pretty solid job for them overall.

Brandon Morrow should have never been signed. You had the medicals. Chatwood and his $$$ are not even on the playoff roster. That's a horrible move. You can look into advanced metrics etc, but one of the most important features of a mlb pitcher is AVAILABILITY, which they ignored.

No doubt they fucked up with morrow, chatwood, and yu. I am fine with that. But I dont think rondon fits in that.

First anxiety poop of the day.

And yes the Cubs FO should absolutely be trashed for Yu, Morrow and Chatwood signings.

I actually blame them for Chatwood the least. He was signed to be a 4th/5th guy, to have a statically all time awful MLB season is something no one predicted.

Everyone knew Morrow would be hurt at some point during the year, you just had to hope he was healthy in Sept. Didn't work that way.

Rondon was never the same for the Cubs after that injury in late 2016. Don't know if he's fully healthy or the the Astros fixed him, but thanks for being a big part of 2015 and 2016 Hector.

Let's focus on beating the Rockies, and then it's on to Milwaukee and lets win there.

Go Cubs.
