Saying that, I wouldn't have opted in on his contract at $20M per season. Between Lester, Quintana, Darvish and Hendricks, I would have preferred to let Montgomery (or Chatwood) fight out the 5th spot and use that money elsewhere (Harper, but they would have needed another $10M+??).

I have watched only a handful of games this year. Not sure why. I think it is a combination of Theo hanging onto his boys like Paxton likes to do and the numerous FA/trade mistakes he has made. Add to that the problem of Theo not being able to draft pitchers and I have little interest in this team.

Yes he is down a tick or two. His location is shit though. He is either right down the pipe or way off the plate. Put 2 more runs on the fucking board. If these guys are going to pitch like this then there is little to no point in watching them. The offense can score but they are not putting up the 10 a night they are going to need win with this kind of starting pitching. Everyone has a hiccup but this is 6 total consecutive starts from the two salty vets that have been complete trash.

Lester has been awful. You could tell in the 1st inning it was going to be a long night. Some really bad at bats tonight as well, Baez is swinging at shit, and Wilson should have been walked a few times, but was swinging at shit. It's really a bad look that they are getting raped by their B squad.

Fuck, the Baez at bats are sickening. Ball is in the other batters box, and his head is in the 3rd base dugout. Teams should just throw him sliders away. At most, he might walk once in 4 at bats, with 3 K's.
