I wouldnt give him Lindors contract.

But I would give him an extension.

Are you just going to let them all walk and start over?

tough call..i'm sure ricketts has a number and what are the chances that baez's number is in the same neighborhood?

every time he gets a few hits to right or homers opposite field, you see him running the bases and hope the light just went on. the very next day he's swinging for waveland ave.

tough call.

My guess is he should come in around 8 x $25m. Lindor is 50% better (approx 6 WAR vs 4 for Baez, not counting 2020).

I dont see how Sogard is considered better than Bote.

They are about the same in the field. Sogard is a nice contact hitter. But Bote can give you some pop and RBIs.

I would say if anything it is slight edge to Bote

Sogard is by far a better fielder at 2b than Bote is.

Based on what?

By far, not hardly. They are both average defensively

Bote is better by the numbers (though that is not specific to 2B)

In 2019 Sogard was especially terrible at 2B, Bote was average

not for the price you'll pay, no. If I thought the Cubs would spend, oh, say the second biggest PR in baseball, maybe. But they won't.

I don't like Baez because the guy has no nuance. If he'd have learned by now to take what pitching gives him, go oppo, walk a bit more, work counts at least, I'd be the first guy to want to sign him. Bryant is weak mentally. He can go. Baez, he could be so much better. But he is what he is at this point.

You can quote all the acolades you want for the guy. But if the Cubs can get a good return for him, sell sell sell.

and yes, I'd rather have Sogard than Bote at second. But I don't think you lose selling Bryant high this summer and putting Bote at third.

I do think Bryant will have a good season. Maybe that's my Cubbie optimism showing.

I'm just mocking you for patting yourself on the back for a prediction after being clearly wrong for years.

no you're wrong here. it's amazing how some ppl on this forum have this grudge against others they carry around to each topics. i hope in real life they don't like this. they just know how to insult rather than having a civilized discussion.

and I have been more right in my predictions than wrong. just because RFDC is a follower of the bullies doesn't make it fact that me or others predictions are wrong. they ignore the facts and just spew garbage out.

anyway... how do i know? - by my eyes! watching sogard the last 3 years . bote is total shit at 2b. you saw that yesterday when he almost blew the game on a routine double play error. If he was so great then why did Ross bench him in the middle of the inning?

Sogard is a middling bench player. Just call up Hoerner.(If you think this team can win the division)
