Despite being in a shithole state and city, Oracle park is a great stadium. I'll probably visit once Newsome is recalled.

If Cali and SF are shitholes, then what isn't in this butthole country?

Because I agree with all of that. :)

Rizzo and Contreras had a scuffle in the dugout.

Rizzo and Ross downplayed it after the damn game.

In that inning. Rizzo hustled on a great defensive play by SF ss. Contreras made a great throw to nab a base stealer. SF tv missed it totally. If only Rizzo was live mic'd.

I'm going to guess Contreras is pissed off at a pitcher.

Jake needs a DL stint. Put him on the DL when they activate Marisnick today. They have an off day coming up so they can probably get by, and that would give them a few days to sort out the hitters side of the roster.

Bryant in center tonight (17x in career). Shuffling best player in a strange position to accommodate a .183 hitters glorious return to guaranteed RF starting job.

Bryant has said earlier in his career that he prefers CF to a corner outfield.

Heyward makes the lineup worse.

They seem to have him in a lineup position tonight where it's easy to double switch him out and put Happ in (Bryant to RF) when they make a pitching change.

I'm fine with Heyward, Happ and Wisdom rotating in the #6 and #7 spots in the lineup for a few weeks. We know the league will adjust to Wisdom similarly to the way they have to Yermin Mercedes. Give the three of them each 2 out of every 3 starts in the next three weeks and let the two best players start after that. Duffy should be back around that time so they can work him back into the mix as well.

Not disagreeing with your logic but I’m just so tired of watching JHey at bats and Happ is terrible again.

I'd personally have Heyward on the bench. But if he has to play. I'd put him in center with Wisdom hot. Take it or leave it. Bryant is way too valuable to be moving around like they are. Like a utility bum.

Was Ben Zobrist a utility bum? Bryant is making hundreds of thousands of dollars on his next contract by showing teams that they can put him as a starter at any of five positions.

Several millions by demonstrating how versatile he is defensively

The only 2 questions about Bryant this contract year were if he could bounce back offensively to his elite past, and get his injuries behind him. So far he's answered both.

Interesting that Nance brought in Nance in the 4th.

Oops. I meant to say hundreds of thousands a day. My mistake.

What the fuck happened last half inning? Nance hit for himself and came out, and Ortega came in for Petersen but is hitting in the #1 spot??

I’ve never seen two dudes run into each other like that in the infield before.
