on the top down replay swanson almost ran past bellinger who was tagging just in case.

can't forget that big HR by the little guy in the 8th. I bet he loved that vs his former mates. He probably looked up at Hahn and was like 'you traded the wrong guy MF!'.

26th blown save for the White Sox. No lead is ever safe.

Just got home from the ballpark. What was very nearly a frustrating, horrible game, became a thrilling win. Assad did a good job. 6 innings and just 2 earned runs. Fulmer did a fabulous job coming in with the bases loaded and nobody out and striking out the side. Of course the 9th inning was great. I have to say, I thought Bellinger's double could have been caught. Am I wrong about that? I don't give a crap about that Crosstown Cup, but the Cubs getting the win matters for sure.

LouBob made a good career decision not to go flying into the bricks.

It most definitely could have been caught. He slowed up and did a quick look at Benintendi because they didn't communicate. He wouldn't have even crashed into the wall as he had it tracked and it hit no higher than chest high on the wall.

Assad did not do a good job. He was hanging on for dear life after the third inning.

I don't understand how Cubans don't play as if their life depended on it. Maybe life there isn't as bad as it's portrayed, because they just do not give a shit. That last AB by Robert was a guy who was just looking for the game to end. People always bitched about Frank Thomas being a guy who was very interested in his stats. I'll take that over a guy who is happy to leave RBIs on the table because he thinks the game is already won

Morroids was doing his best Baez impersonation, swinging from his heals the entire at bat but the Sox are too stupid to pitch him like Baez.
