fielder and braun seem like 2 genuinely not-likable guys. fielder has that scowl on his face 100% of the time, even when he does something good. it makes me want to see him fail more and more. i cant put my finger on what i dislike so much about braun, other than he is a big-time poser at the plate, even more than the average guy. ramirez and soriano pose too, and a lot of other guys, but fielder and braun stand there all fucking day looking at their shots, i hate that.

i am really building up a healthy dislike for the brewers. it took me awhile to accept them as a national league team, and at first they were just another crappy basement team to beat on back in the sosa years, but now that they have gotten a little better, im starting to really hate that franchise. mind you, they arent in the st. louis-level of disdain yet, but i hate them a lot more than the reds and pirates and astros.

what is with those pants sabbathia wears? the dud is a fat ass to begin with, and he wears these fucking enormous pants that are out there flapping in the breeze, making him look even fatter. not a good look.

Has anyone told you for a man of few opinions, you have a lot of good opinions...

I was at the game last night. Playoff atmosphere is building. Fielder's knees just buckled watching strike three! I have a "great" concern...in that I am going to both Friday & Saturday games. I have a feeling I'll be seeing many of the new call ups...and the lower end of the 40 man roster. I can handle that!

Good ole Marquis. Not good to start out 3 runs behind with Sheets going.

The hitting has disappeared tonight, there is no excuse for not hitting this weak pen.

Why is Tom Dreesan famous? I mean, I see him on Letterman and doing the 7th inning stretch. I still don't know what the fuck he does? I always see him promoting something but I've never actually seen him do anything.

I know he's a comedian. I guess he still tours the country in the stand-up racket. But I've never seen him do anything but appear on shows to promote shit. Now he's pushing a book.

I guess he's one of those "famous for being famous" guys.

I believe he originally became famous for hanging out with actual famous people - Sinatra, notably.

I agree - why do we still have to see him?

I'm sure he makes decent money. Going to hillbilly towns to do stand-up probably is a decent buck. He's the most famous guy hillbilly towns can get so I'm sure he sells out the shit-holes he works.

But he looks like he's 70 years old. He's never been in the movies and never got his own sit com. When you're still promoting your "Stand-up-gig" in Mobile, Alabama, at the age of 70, that is kind of a failed career.

For as much as I see him promoting shit, however, I would think that I would have seen him do an HBO special or something like that on TV. I swear, I have never seen his act.

Jim Belushi is singing on Sunday. Maybe Berns will pay someone to take him out.

Cubs are on ESPN that night, so I guess they still have their obligation to promote Mickey Mouse shows even though MNF got out of that. Shows why the NFL is a better ran league.

Too bad they couldn't beat up the Brewer bullpen after Sheets went out. But Harden should get them a win tomorrow and thus a win of this series. They can clinch on Friday or Saturday. Marquis had been real good of late, with an ERA of 1.77 over his last 3 starts. I guess it was time for him to revert back to form. I had started to wonder if he might make the post-season roster this year. That is gonna be interesting. Do they have Howry on it? Marshall? Marquis? How many pitchers/position players?

I doubt Marquis is on the roster since he has been pretty adamant that he does not want to pitch out of the bullpen.

Harden starting to pull his shit together. i didn't like that first but now he is dealing.
Silvy mentioned putting this guy 3rd or 4th in the rotation for the playoffs. Not sure
I agree with that.

Nice homer for Jimmy E. Anybody going to be at the game on Saturday? First
game at Wrigley for me in 2 years.
