So far, so good, but so irritated that none of these games have been on WGN - got to see last nite's on ESPN - Sut and Bill Murray were pretty funny, but wish I could hear Len and Bob instead of Pat and Cory - either way, hope the Cubs can tack on a few more runs before the end of the 5th, then it can rain.

This bullpen fucking blows. The starters better go deep or the Cub is fucked. Only Marmol and Wood is worth a damn and they have been shakey lately.
Cott blows, Howery blows, Gaudin blows...I am sick of seeing these cocksuckers trot out there and throw fucking batting practice.
Marshall and Marquis had better get ready. They are going to be very important in the postseason.

yeah it is pretty scary to think Marquis might have a big role in the playoffs. Hopefully he will be ready to go.

When they put Hart in for the 9th, you knew exactly how much they really valued a win tonight. Forget that so many regulars were sitting. But it has to be the right thing to do. Marmol and Wood are going to get a lot of work most likely in the playoffs. Got to have them as fresh as possible. Maybe give them a tune-up in a game in Milwaukee, just so they are not too rusty. Great game by Hoffpauir. No surprise to me. 5 for 5 was a surprise maybe. But I have been mentioning him regularly, as he had 25 homers and 100 RBI at AAA, in just 71 games and less than 300 at bats. The guy can rake. I just hope they try finding a spot for him. Whether that means Fukadome in center next year, or Fukadome getting traded. I like Fukudome, but I really think Hoffpauir has much more upside with the bat. Plus, if they don't resign Edmonds, they might want to replace that left handed bat in the order. I trust Hendry to make a good decision on it though. If nothing else, Hoffpauir's trade value is going to be pretty high. I think he's got a real chance to make the post-season roster.

From what I read and hear supposedly there is only one position spot left on the playoff roster and its between Pie and Hoffpauir. I was leaning toward Pie, get that speed and defense on the roster. But how can you leave off Hoffpauir?

I would leave Ward off the roster, other than that HR against the Marlins, he really has been disappointing this year. Keep both Pie and the Hoff.

Enigma-I was thinking the same. Leave Ward off, not the Hoff.... I like it W-Z!!!!

It has to be a tough thing, for Lou to trim back to 25. There are at least 27-28 guys that are deserving. I just hope Howry is off. He's turning my mood ring black, every time he gets in a game these days. Gaudin too. He looked good before his injury for a stretch. But now he's definitely someone I do not want to see in a critical spot.

When do the playoff rosters have to be finished?
