Nice to see Ramirez half ass that ball hit by the pitcher.

What would a real manager do?

DeWitt has 12 H in last 28 AB's. Quade starting him in LF is a master stroke!

Kidding of course, but Blake is only 25. Younger then most Cub "prospects" up now. I can see him at 2nd,Barney at SS & Castro at 3rd in the future. The very least,a good bat off the bench.

Grabow showing us why Marshall couldn't join the rotation. I like it.

Are the Cubs now 0 for June?? There's a funny thread running around here that said they'd have a hard time in June. Well maybe it won't be funny to everyone.....

Hey now. Mike Quade is a real manager. Just ask Hendry/Kenney/Ricketts!

DeWitt is a butcher in the field. Decent off the bench though.

WHY? who gives a shit about his slump? He shouldn't be in MLB right now (Colvin...ehh,maybe Quade,too.).

I haven't given up on Colvin yet.

As for "Q"...

Just perfect for the joke that is the Chicago Cubs. He really should put on the clown makeup and come to home plate in full clown attire. He'd be a national celebrity!!

I am shocked that BRIck and I aren't getting more shit in the Sox forum for our bragging about the Sox winning the WS this year.

Because it is supposed to be fun. Not pouring salt in the wounds.

  We both made our beds. The Sox have struggled, but there is clearly much more of an upside and they have not played to their potential yet. The Cubs were expected to be bad to mediocre at best. I am surprised they are playing this poorly, but I am not really shocked at their overall record.

:D Yeah, I knew that I was in for it as the season started going off the cliff. Perhaps I should just embrace it and pretend that they will still come out of it and everything will be OK.

Quade will rally the troops and engineer a stunning turnaround for the Cub!

Half way to 2 wins on the trip!

Comparing the Sox & Cubs is assinine.
Quick Reminder, During this streak:,theCubs were missing

3 SP: Wells,Cashner & Garza
Starting 3rd basemen
Starting LF
Starting CF
Two backups who were doing great: Baker & Johnson.
Starting Catcher
and I think 1st base coach Bob Dernier had an anal rash.

The Sox were missing a bunch of players too. They just happened to still be playing.

I can't even figure out what that guy was supposed to be doing in that gif. I mean, if everything went exactly as planned, what the hell was he gonna do?

That's fantastic.

Quade took lessons from Ozzie there.

Tough to put that on Quade. That was just horrible base running by Darwin.
