I literally am shocked there are not more (or any, really) suicides "blamed" (at least in part) on the Cubs.

Packers win again in Chicago!

Happy Birthday shitpile of bricks.

But wait, I think I just heard a broadcast filled with lots of long silences, campy & pointless stories, a discussion about how Richie Hebner would have loved to play in collared jerseys like the Packers wore today...and Hawk was nowhere near it. Oh, and another loss mixed in for good measure.

Lets discuss that!

Ruggiano will be hitting the DL. Wonder who the Cubs will call up to take his place.

He needs to learn to complete his games. I'm sure he will be a hard luck Cy Young winner like Hernandez was.

June/July is usually when he starts to suck balls. Let's see if he can power through this season.

That's because people are trying to stay alive long enough for them to see a Cubs world series before they die.

Cubs are actually saving lives :D

Just not games :(

Missed the game - thankfully.

So Russell blew it again eh?

Bring up Rosscup and trade this guy for a couple bags of BP balls. He has been a worthless piece of shit since mid season last year.

I have watched less Cubs baseball this year than any year since I started following the team in 1976 and it will be interesting to see if attendance continues to drop this year.

Let's get Baez, Bryant and Alcantara up here by mid season although Bryant probably wont sniff the big leagues until September.

If they don't sign or develop a closer next year, they will continue to be a fucking disgrace.

Nothing deflates the confidence level of a team moreso than having no closer and unless Vizcaino can come up and be that guy, I see no one who can do it on that roster now. Maybe give Rondon a shot??

I can not think of a more fitting end to a game then today's Wrigley Field 100th birthday bed-shitting.

I wonder if Ricketts was shaking people's hands after this latest debacle.

anybody going today? i think i'm going to be making an appearance and i'd love to break bread/overpriced-beer/pre-mixed-drinks-made-at-711-if-you-can-still-enter-the-stadium-with-drinks-that-is (nahhh not gonna do that actually) with anyone who comes out for LAST PLACE BASEBALL @ the shrine.

i also hope for the return of the prodigal son MARK TRUMBO, who has given his fantasy owners like me THE TOTAL MARK TRUMBO EXPERIENCE by having 1 week of all world ~5HR/1week .300+ average league leading RBI total, but then turning around and going like 4/42 with 2HR and a handful of RBI while his average gets cozy in the low low .200s.

oh boy it's an edwin jackson start? welp since he's jekyll hyde i'm either going to see a brilliantly pitched ballgame or a lot of runs that likely me rue the fact i missed out on gerardo fk'n parra by $20 in nas' super-deep fantasy league (just like i originally had enough $$$ out there on a waiver claim to nab collin mchugh in place of my team's mascot: LJ HOES (seriously if you dont want a "HOES" jersey/shirt then you have no soul)) and yeah. gerardo fk'm parra guaranteed no worse than like 2/4 or 3/5 with 3R and an RBI.... i wont guarantee a HR cuz he only hits like 7-12 per year and so that's a rare feat, but i'm thinking multiple hits en route to a .500/+ day with multiple runs and RBI. i can see a 2R/bases-clearing double in his future.

if i'm right i'll make sure to play the lottery with all #s being the same # so that way when i win the millions i can say "GOD RIGGED THE LOTTERY FOR ME LIKE A. DAVID SILVERN IS GONNA DO FOR THE LAKERS!!!! (like he woulda done for the bulls if they were clever enough to miss the playoffs b4 getting swept out of the playoffs by the lowly/hungry wiz. yeah dude seriously terry boers said ECF or bust so you knew where/how to bet. suffice to say chus aint losing $$$ on this series if he bets basketball =)

From what I remember, They had already agreed on terms and the Cubs changed them. There was never any specific media coverage on this for whatever reason.

Ruggiano is gone until June so Ricky is a man down with his dickhead platoons!

Neil Ramirez and Rosscup up. Yes, the Ramirez from the Rangers trade. We'll get to see a 2nd piece of the Garza trade. Excellent.

Arrieta will be called up soon so Villanueva can do his best Paulino impression as the bullpen long man. Now all Jedstein has to do his cut Russell and Veras and Cubs will be back on track to capture the Wild Card.
