Don't be jealous. Let us have our moment.

Yours is surely coming and you'll never have to worry about 2005 again.

Why would a Cubs fan worry about 2005? Hell, I took my Son to the 2nd playoff game against Boston where Iguchi hit the 3 run homer off Wells after Graffanino muffed the double play ball. It was fun and I was happy for my friends who were/are Sox fans. I'm sure that more Cubs Championships are coming in the near future. but make no mistake, you did have your moment. But a decade later, the moment is long gone. Is there a single Sox player from that team still on the team? I don't think so. A.J, Buehrle and Cotts are still playing in the league, but I don't think there is a single player still playing that is on the Sox today. Time to stop referring to it as if it's currently relevant.

As a Sox fan, I'm pulling for the Cubs because I know and like many, many Cubs fans.

I agree that being anti-Cub is engrained in many Sox fans. But I also think Sox fans get tired of the sheer inanity that emanates from Wrigley. One moment, we're told that the Cubs have a Messiah (Baylor, Baker, Sammy, Prior), and three years later, the Messiah is el Diablo. Sox fans do this, too, but you hear about the Cubs figures more since they are so much more popular. When you're on top, everyone is gunning for you.

Of course, 2005 is much more relevant than 1908. Or 1969. Yet if the Cubs don't win with these players in the next decade (I think they will at least make it to a couple World Serieseseses, by the way), 2003 will always be more relevant than 2005.

I never liked a Cub fan enough to hope they win for his sake.

Come on, man. I'm trying really, really hard to be a good person here. This is thin ice I'm on. Don't tempt me.

1907 & 1908 also Championship seasons..... for the Cubs. They are all just history now. Once a Championship is a decade old, it's time to stop referring to it as if it is current and relevant to anything going on today.

We all saw the 2005 team win the World Series. Nobody here has seen the Cubs win the World Series. I love how much this clearly bothers the shitty Cub fans like you.

Not winning one insignificant ...how hard is that to grasp. It's like saying that I haven't had a piece of ass since 2005.....well you haven't had one since 1908.....but oh you're dating a hot chick
