I guess I would prefer to play the Dodgers ... but there was talk some time ago about NFL teams underperforming when playing West Coast games at night ... is there a similar effect for baseball players too? Even if there was, would that be mitigated by MLB not having those games start at 9pm locally?

I do remember a series in 89 against the Giants and a series in 2008 against the Dodgers, not going particularly well. But that is in the past. We all know what Da Coach says about the past.
