You will be wrong once again. And out of a lot of money.

The funny thing is only a Cub fan could be oblivious to how silly he sounds trying to big time the Yankees.

Yea, this is ridiculous. I'm tempted to take some action on the Yankee side

The Cubs are set up for a nice run of contention. Nothing is guaranteed and there have been many teams in this spot who couldn't close.

Its hard to win the World Series (for everyone but the Yankees)

Not big timing any team. The Yankees are not going to be big time any time soon and I do not care about the past. Bet on the Yankees. You will lose money in the near future. Keep 2005 alive.

The Yankees win 85 in down years. I don't know why you'd dismiss their chances any year

So the Yankees are the biggest baseball team in the world. Bigger than the Cubbies. Always have been, and likely always will be.

It's 10am, time for another bloody Mary, Scoots.

I may not have made an error. The link you posted is most valuable. Money does not necessarily equal popularity.

Regardless of the way you care to spin it, Yankees > Cubs now and probably forever

 The Yankees are big right now. They are probably the biggest team in all of pro sports. It's been that way for years and will continue to be. They are even bigger than your loveable losers.

There's no way you came up with that awesome emoji insertion and total burn all on your own.

Yeah, a sport most of the world doesn't care about has the most popular team in all sports, for sure.

Most every publication that has predicted divisional winners for 2016, has predicted that not only will the Cubs win the N.L. Central, but have the best record in Baseball. Does that mean squat?....No. Injuries always play a part in a team's season and sometimes guys just have an off year or outstanding year that nobody saw coming. Many years the team with the best regular season record does not win the title and a team that was a Wild Card (Cardinals at 83-79 one year) gets hot at the right time and takes it all. But all the elements are there for the Cubs to seriously contend in 2016. With what is seen as the 4th best minor league system (down from 1st, as a result of guys like Bryant, Schwarber, Soler and Russell making to the major leagues) there is every reason to believe that if they need to make a trade for a player who could cement things, if need be. They have pieces to deal, should a trade make sense. But it is my hope they retain guys like Glyber Torres and Wilson Contreras. I see Contreras taking over as the main catcher in 2017, with Torres taking an infield position in 2018. Whether that means a trade of someone like Russell at that point, will be determined. It could mean Russell moving back to 2B, or Torres moving to 2B or Bryant moving to the outfield. But Torres is going to be special and room will need to be made for him. If they deal him, it would have to be for an outstanding pitcher, who would make them a significantly greater favorite to win the title than they already are. This is going to be a lot of fun in the next several years....
