right now hendricks is @ 6IP 1H 0ER 0BB 5K / 71 pitches. i reckon with the series starting tuesday you could probably start hendricks in game 3, or game 2 on short rest.... idk if i'd wanna fuck with short rest with a young pitcher in this kind of groove (especially if you don't need to burn arrieta tomorrow) cuz if you win tonight lester would be on normal rest for game 1, you could go to arrieta with extra rest for game 2, and then you could go to hendricks on proper rest for game 3.... that's what i'd do as opposed to rushing hendricks back for game 2 early and then having jake sit around with too much time to go film more stupid state farm commercials in the interim.

so yeah, i'm thinking lester/arrieta/hendricks/lackey(??) in the world series... what do y'all think?

btw, my other cub fan grandpa told me a month or two ago "i'd take hendricks over kershaw any day of the week" --- and even tho clayton kershaw IS the best pitcher in baseball, man, after myriad factors he DOES indeed choke like a bitch when it matters the most. i guess grandpa was right, eh?
