Great game. I cannot believe Baez's ball was only in the basket. He killed that thing.

I think the Baez dinger knocked off one of the Ricketts money boards and just ended up in the basket

I also don't know why people attack me for being the best and biggest Cubs fan here. Probably Sox fans.

Giants in 4.

Does Reader think Cubs decide where a national broadcast is televised? Yikes!

Great game, Zobrist should play in right and bench Jhey.. I can't wait til the Cubs rock the guppy tonight.. I believe Jake on extended rest can match Madbum for game 3 and the bullpens will decide that game.

No chance the guppy beats the cubs, or anybody ever in a playoff game.

No but I think it gets to the bullpens and Giants win like 7-6 or something.

Giants bullpen is brutal. I'll take the Cubs chances on the Giants pen.

I'll be very surprised if Zija pitches well tonight. He's gonna be so jacked up he'll miss his spots by a foot. I would have started Moore tonight and used Zija for a game 4 where at least he wouldn't be pitching in front of a hostile crowd.

They blew like ten saves in September. That's ChiSoxian.

What a fucking douchewagon ... apparently after the game Posey told reporters that he hit the ball harder than Baez did.

Baez' simple response.

Well, good thing we have statcast.

Quote:
Baez's home run was projected by Statcast™ to travel 381 feet with an exit velocity of 107.4 mph and a launch angle of 36 degrees. Batted balls with that combo were 14-for-18 this year, and all 14 hits were homers. Similar batted balls in 2016 averaged 415 feet of carry but the stiff wind likely kept the ball from flying as far as normal.

Quote:
Buster Posey's double off Aroldis Chapman was hit 102 MPH at a 26 degree launch angle... Similar batted balls are a HR 65% of the time

Sorry Buster, you are wrong.

Buster's upset that he's the second best catcher in the series.

I put that avatar up right before Javy went deep. Care to re-think?

That had nothing to do with your avatar and everything to do with Javy wanting to win that one for me.

Well Hayward is starting again....maybe Hendriks can get a couple of hits to pick up the slack.

(a) Did you really think he wouldn't?
(b) It's Heyward.
(c) It's Hendricks.

My initial thought was that Baez should be batting 6th. But batting him 7th spreads out the three double-switch candidates (Zobrist, Heyward, Contreras).

The only thing I'm scared of tonight is Rondon pitching the 8th.

Can't wait to see if he can get one out of the infield tonight!!!

If Rondon sniffs a game that isn't 5 runs either way I will lose my shit.

Cubs should have this one. It's about time for the Giants to regress to the mean a little bit, and who better to preside over that than, as Big Voice Guy once called him, Smarja.
