Good thing he got enough run support last night.

He pitched flawlessly. I'll take it.

Pitched well enough to match a guy who played in Japan.

IIRC Cubs were #2 to land Mikolas.

Gotta let them have their fun, they don't have anything else to be excited about this season.

Kinda funny within minutes of his shit inning they both post - and on a Saturday afternoon nonetheless.

As bad as this trade looks, still not as one sided as the Sammy Sosa trade.

Not true. Eloy will be up soon and Cease is skyrocketing up top prospect lists. The future is so bright the Subdivision needs shades.

But for real, that’s gonna end up an all time bad trade for the Cubs.

As things stand right now you are correct. But lots of baseball to be played before that trade can be appropriately judged.

Eloy looks like another Avi Garcia - hurt all the time. Cease should at minimum help them in the bullpen. Q's record is still darn good and he may yet figure it out to the extent he becomes a solid #2.

Yeah I mean I guess if you’re counting on blind luck to bail Theo out that’s correct. But no, the Cubs got destroyed in that deal.

I’m starting to realize 77Cubs is challenging Steve a very few others here for worst overall sports thoughts. He’s a real person and not a mult, right?

I know you are trolling here, but gotta slow down. Eloy and Cease have 0 innings in the major leagues.

We shall see. Eloy has in fact missed half the season this year correct? Or are you simply Mr. Ad Hominem??

Eloy could very well be Jorge Soler part 2

Yep. The 30 seconds it took me to pull out my phone and make that post was a real waste. Maybe if you put 30 seconds of actual thought into your posts once in a while, you might find yourself typing something worthwhile.

Eloy, who is hitting .379 at AAA, is playing in his 77th game Tonite. So unless I've missed something and the MiLB season is now close to 200 games, no he hasn't missed half the year.

Seen a lot of Eloy = Soler posts lately. Sure didn't see those comparisons when he was in the Cubs system...

Eloy's like Kris Bryant as a minor leaguer. He might not be a major league MVP but there is little doubt he will be very good. Who knows with Cease but it looks better as the days go by, he's been awesome this year.

It's funny to me you think this is trolling. It should be a pretty uncontroversial opinion right now that Theo got rocked in that trade.
