Eloy alone is better than everything they got from Boston for Sale combined. Comparing him to Soler is stupid.

Eloy's K-rate in Charlotte is 10%. 10%!
Jorge Soler struck out 25% of the time at Kansas City's AAA affiliate last year. Back when he spent a decent amount of time in AAA in the Cubs' system he had twice Eloy's strikeout rate.

Not a good comparison.

It would have been a bad trade for the Cubs if the Sox had given him to them for nothing. He already cost them a playoff series with more frustration and pain to come. Enjoy!

I disliked the trade when it was made. Not because of the upside of Eloy or Cease, but because I knew what Q was. He’s a loser. I can’t remember if I posted my thoughts on the trade at the time. I’ll leave that to those with more time on their hands than me to search and confirm.

I’m pretty sure I posted my opinions against the trade, however. Theo-Jesus gave up too much for a mediocre starter...they sabremetrically fucked themselves.

I was with ya til ya said " loser" I stopped reading n responded. He's a great 4th starter or average 3 starter. That team wasn't a 3rd or 4th starter away from a WS..bad trade..I said it at the time.
