Well, I have managed that before and after the current Mrs. as well. But 7 no-hit games is pretty impressive. Kudos.

You were the asshole that brought family into this with your stupid "look to your side in bed" comment, which was stupid. But some idiots are classless enough to bring family into this, even if it has been a long standing board position not to.

Calm down. Relax. I'm happy for you and your wife. Maybe instead of posting so much on this board you should take her out for a nice trot. I mean treat.

Good to see Grimm going well. I hope Neil Ramirez can return to 2014 form and be another late inning reliever they can count on. Still not 100% sold on Rondon. I see closer as a possible upgrade at the deadline.

Steve called himself an idiot and classless.

He should treat himself to a sugar cube.

Strop has only surrendered 3 hits in 9 1/3 innings. That's pretty dang good! He's been better than Rondon so far this year.

Assuming the Cubs hang on, they will be 18-6, 4 full games ahead of the Pirates and at least 6 ahead of the Cardinals, who are currently tied 3-3 with the Phillies in the top of the 6th.

All around. Pitching, hitting, defense, base running. Great game and start to the series. With Arrieta going tomorrow, a good chance to build on it.

That was too easy. This team only plays close games against bad, grindy pitchers.

I hope not. Let the Pirates unravel and play it cool. That's my advice to the Zany suit wearin, van drivin, merlot drinkin, deep thinkin Joe Maddon!

I guess those Pirate fans don't agree with your assessment... 18,376 (47.9% full)

but them again you are used to enpty sections 18,376 at the abandoned south side mall is a HUGE turnout....

The only foolish looking one is YOU

Only a silly Cubs fan can turn a conversation about Jason Heyward into an attendance shot at the Sox.

I certainly feel like a fool for saying a series against the team's principal competitor in the division and one that it played in the playoffs last year is a big series. Maddon probably feels like a fool for having rearranged his rotation for something so insignificant. I bet your fellow board members who are Cubs fans feel foolish as well having posted 4 pages worth of posts in this thread for such triviality when a full series against the Braves only received 5 pages.
