I'll have to disagree with you about A-Rod. I like his commentary. Good remarks just a couple minutes ago about Rizzo not knowing where the infielders were playing before the pitch was hit and that he should have scored easily.....absolutely correct. On the other hand, how about the base running by Heyward, to get into scoring position by tagging on the fly ball? Love that.

Don't ever forget, you're a moron. So... things like that sound brilliant to you.

I'll have to disagree with you about A-Rod. I like his commentary.

I kinda like his commentary normally ... but he's just been real brand new tonight ... the whole game his mouth's been running like a duck's ass ... and a lot of it not particularly insightful or even connected with this game.

When a managerial change is made, you never know if in the short term the team is sparked by the move or not. Cardinals don't seem to have a great deal of fire and have made some mistakes that makes it look like they are not as focused as they could be. Glad to see it. Hopefully the Cubs can dash any hope St. Louis still had going into this series.

Nope. Figures. I'd put him on trade market to set what they can get. He's already making 10M and Boras will want crazy money.

Doesn't sound brilliant, but I appreciate that he's SAYING something (you should try it sometime) and not afraid to point out mental mistakes as well as the physical ones. I like that. I like that he seems to love the game and enjoys talking about it. He has enough money that he has no need to ever work again, but he loves the game, so he wants to stay involved in it.

So great to see Heyward succeed. Hitting the ball to LF has been the key. Fuck pulling everything.

Yeah, I liked him with Pete Rose and Frank Thomas. That was a fun group.

Where Zobrist is concerned, I think he is better in the clutch than most. Nice to see him having a better season, after last year, where he was less effective (somewhat due to nagging injuries) and looked like a guy who might be falling off.

I'm starting to believe that Chili helped him to really make the needed adjustments and this may not be just a temporary positive streak. It would be great if this is the guy he will be the rest of his deal.

As long as he keeps hitting to all fields, he'll be fine.
