Lol...I think a grandparent may just be behind that.

The easy answer is never fun.

Wow, I'm surprised... ESPN is going to show Yankees and Red Sox tonight.

Hey you should be thankful they're showing anything on a Friday night. I miss the good ol days of them showing midweek day games with or without Steve stone and his laptop.... But nowadays that's get in the way of their 4th or 5th NBA shows =]

Are we still going with the team that’s been in the playoffs 3 ( now 4 ) years in a row averaging 95 plus wins a year is “tight” narrative ?

Also, 'twas a good win for the cubs on a shitty day coming off of a shitty series and all that. They're gonna need Hendricks to go out there and pitch like he did today if they're gonna do anything in the playoffs other than meekly exit.

Maybe they're tired from ~3 extra months of baseball over the last few years? And having their last off day during the Calvin Coolidge administration?

Why the fuck did MLB schedule an inter-league for the Brewers last weekend of the season. Horseshit.

One of the many benefits of this place on the internets. Well placed sarcasm.

Because with this stupid 15/15 split to satisfy the bitchy Rangers, someone has to.

Glad that they padded the lead in the bottom of the 8th, so Hendricks could save some bullets for the playoffs. He was outstanding today and as mentioned previously, he will have to be in the playoffs, if the Cubs are to have any chance in the post-season. Less than outstanding focus in the 9th by Bryant and Baez on defense, but it only cost them a couple runs that ultimately were not important. But you would hope for better focus until the last out is made.

Bullpen arms up already, I believe with only one away, I dunno, Uecker never really gives the score unless he has to.

3-0. Counsell has to go get Davies pretty soon.

Former Cub rebuilding era farm hand Jim Adducci with the key RBI. Lifetime journeyman with only four partial years in the big leagues at 33 years old. From Evergreen Park, so it probably kills him to help the Cubs out here.

Oh good lord no wonder they've almost lost 100 games. Team of destiny.

That lead will be gone before they bat again. The brewers have hit hr's in the first inning of home games for at least 6 or 7 consecutive games and its usually multiple home runs.

Seemed almost predictable. Didn’t figure they’d get all three back in first though.

I actually found the stats and their first innings are ridiculous when compared to every other inning.
