Now, I'm not giving Edmonds too much more rope either, but let this play out two or three more weeks before we throw Edmonds overboard as chum. He's played three games.

Great points, give the guy some time. He just got here. We have already seen that he can still play CF at a high level now let's give the guy 2-3 weeks before we run him out of town.

Ok, Carol Slezak.

I just don't get the angst of losing one game in May.

There is too much hype about the Cubbies this year, and people like to panic....

Another road loss. The Cubs just didn't even show up after the first inning. These games are terribly boring, and they're getting just pounded on the road. God damn.

i'm not happy that that's 2 games in a row where the cubs had the early lead and nearly promptly gave it up in one bad inning then all of the sudden couldn't find a way back in the game...against marginal pitching.

i hate the astros... :x

They aren't getting pounded on the road. They're two games below .500
The idea is to win at home and be .500 on the road. That makes you competative and they've done that. They've over achieved at home and slightly stumbled on the road.
Am I happy about the last two games? Certainly not. I'm amazed they didn't pound the hell outta the astros tonight. Getting off to a start like that in the first should make for an easy evening.
They're in first. They're first in scoring. Their top three starters are doing well.
I've seen plenty worse.

They were bound to lose a series. Even great baseball teams lose at least 60 times a year

Sorta a crappy series, score 3 in the 1st and thats it, cant shut it down like that. Gallagher had one bad inning, I will take his starts compared to the long ball fest Lieber tossed against the reds. Astros are pretenders, I wasnt that impressed even with those two wins.

The one thing that pissed me off about Lee's homer that it was on a 0-2 pitch. Waste one or two.
