Complete game shutout. No need to hand off to anyone.

I would very much like to see Soto or Pena get a clutch hit to get an insurance run here

I would like to personally thank the starting catcher on the 2011 NL All Star team for responding to my previous post.

Why the fuck is Reed Johnson hitting for your Gold Glove 1Bman when you have a 2 run lead in the bottom of the 8th?

Yea he did. Right on the upper/inside portion by the ankle bone. Looked real bad, he was frazzled for a few minutes but kept in the at bat.

I hope this season presents us with more state farm/geico/all state insurance runs than citgo/petroleum/power plays goals this year. :(

It's Baker....god I pray that Pena doesn't miss alot of time because playing Jeff Baker at 1st everyday is a good way to finish in 5th place

Everytime I've heard the name Bloomquist today I've thought of that speaker in Fear and Loathing... "You become one of those.... "coool guys".

Heard yesterday from Moreland that the Cub never crossed the .500 mark last year. Got to .500 four times, but never over it.

That would make sense to me. He would have some decent experience there too from last year if they weren't worried about stepping on someone's toes.

What exactly is the 8th inning back up plan if Wood gets injured from overwork?

Where is Angel Guzman?

Combo of Marshall and Mateo maybe. No chance in hell the Shark sniffs the 8th inning with a lead.

Its fucking ridiculous that Colvin isnt playing every day after the production he put up last year.

Fuckin Cubs

Nice win though

I am OK with Marshall but will Quade do that with his most dependable lefty? I mean he went thru 3 relievers in one inning today against AZ playing lefty/righty matchups.

It really does fucking suck. He cant play until Fuk is gone and Fuk cant get traded unless he plays and puts up some decent numbers. I just want Quade to eventually tell Hendry to fuck off and pencil in who he wants in the lineup.

Well they won right? How much does it really take out of a guy to pitch to one or two guys? Not much I'm guessing. They probably do that much in the bullpen every day anyway.

Yeah, not a big fan of this type of stuff. He is completely overthinking this thing and way too early in the year. Leave Marshall in the game and trust him to get the guys out.

Its frustrating to watch but he might be getting guys used to coming on in certain situations. Gotta build the bullpen.

I hate it as its happening but sometimes it pays off long term
