True...he does seem like a really good guy with a great attitude.....but he just can not hit anything at all right now.

Byrd needs to feel free to take his head out of his ass soon. For the love of Christ he has never played this poorly.

9 innings without giving up a run by the Shark? For real?

In one game Fuk has half as many hits as Pena has had all season.

LOL @ his projected stats (which is stupid as hell anyway) on espn.com for Pena this season...
http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/4594/carlos-pena
147 games
427 AB
15 runs
74 hits
7 2b
37 RBI
88 BB
155 K
Awesome 10 mill

It's becoming very frustrating that Quade has the balls/craziness to make all kinds of different moves, but he will not get Pena out of the lineup. He is getting paid that 10 mil regardless so I would rather win more games with him on the bench than play him.

Tempting to invoke the SSS but this guy has stunk for about a year and a half. Ran out of supplements?

DLee is hitting .225 with something like 1 hr and 4 rbi. His clubhouse mentality will never be missed. Pena seems like a very good hard working guy...he just can not hit without the help of supplements.

Another Pena strikeout in the 9th. Barney not getting the bunt down in the 6th was a huge blow. A guy with his skill set really needs to be able to bunt, cost them greatly.

I don't care if this team was supposed to suck this year....losing game like this pisses me off.

He has actually played some games at first this year. He needs to be called up with Pena getting a phantom trip to the DL.

Quade should know that sticking with a slow starting veteran in April can cost a manager his job by All-Star break.

Yeah,in his defense,a bad thumb does not assist a .196 hitter in becoming better.
I would like to see Jackson & LaHair both come up. They can send Colvin down and put Pena on the DL.

Tomorrows lineup:
Castro 2nd
Barney SS
LaHair 1st
Aram 3rd
Jackson CF
Fuku RF
Soriano LF
Soto C

Jackson is going to have to wait untli Fuk shits the bed or gets traded, which could be around that June time when teams wait to bring guys up so they aren't super 2 arbitration guys. LaHair and Diamond need to be up now. Ship stevens down and DL Pena and get those two up already.

While the rotation certainly blows, so does Diamond. We have zero in the terms of SP in the minors at the moment. That includes McNutt who is getting shelled.

I was never a fan of Rothchild, but Riggins is making Rothchild look like the goddamn genius everyone says he is. That guy is a complete joke.

that is why i am pissed, this was the perfect season to go young and see what ya got..no pena no wood none of these bustouts. there should have been 3 or 4 more guys that were brought up and got playing time. i would have traded byrd and fukudome... hendry is trying desperately to save his job and impress the new bitch that bought the team, at the expense of the future of the orginization..and ricketts was too stupid to see through it.

The only place The Cubs should have veterans are for backups and in the rotation. BUT right now they can dump Big Z & Dempster. This team needs a change.

Because you care about the team. The Cubs want things to be somewhat competitive so the frat boys and pink hats come out in the summer to drink beer and not watch the game.

This guy is a worse dog than Fred McGriff. Glad its only a one year deal but my god he is bad at baseball.....Can only pray that when the weather warms up he gets a shipment of Sammy's flintstone vitamins.
