Let's go Tigers. I'm tired of watching the crew score 5,000 runs while winning every game.

This is the hand the Cubs dealt themselves. If they didn't want to depend on other teams then they shouldn't have been asleep at the wheel/butt-fucked for the 1st 2 games at home vs the Pirates.

5-3 Brewers. Ludacrist to think a dog shit team that already has their tee times booked for next week would be able to win one of these games. They are checked out.

Right, the way to have won the division is to win it your damn selves. The Tigers shouldn’t be on the hook to do shit. The fact it was tied 3-3 means maybe the Brewers needed to be woken up.

The Tigers have kind of mailed it in since the 1st. Zimm (a WI guy) was probably lacing them meatballs since he is paid for life and this game means shit to him. The Cubs certainly haven't done themselves any favors but the Crew doesn't need barnstorm through the last month and win over 80 percent of their games and 100 percent the last week. The Rockies are also doing this to the Dodgers...well they have already done it but they have ripped off 7 or 8 in a row.

With CO leading again they damn near have to be. I think if CO holds on they are afforded no more losses and no more CO wins.

I think they have to win out and Colorado and LA have to lose out.

Hader gives up the HR to a rookie PH's first HR in the majors.

Good to the Tigers knocking around Josh Hader. He plunked the first guy he faced, then gave up the game-tying 2 run home run to a September call up with 0 career MLB home runs. Hader walks Castellanos, the only Tiger hitter with an avg above .250, .298. Hader pulled for Soria after getting Goodrum to fly out.

Harry - hey steve....wouldn't it be something if ex-cub G-ME-AIR Candelario ended up helping the cubs with a big hit to beat the brewers tonight.
Steve - could happen Harry
Harry - hagh , hagh, hagh, hagh, you know what steve....that would be the opposite of 'biting the hand that fed you'. oh - sherrie!

Tigers outfielder just batted the ball over the wall so Bruan can have a home run.

what a shit team.

Right in his glove for an out but instead he jumped and the ball went over the wall.

brewers 3 outs away from a win.

Dunno why Alcántara felt like he needed to challenge Braun there. Brewers have fuck-all in their lineup after Braun.

Lotta ex-Royals on the Brewers:

Lorenzo Cain
Mike Moustakas
Joakim Soria
Erik Kratz
Jeremy Jeffress
Manny Piña

Cubs not far behind with 5 former Royals:

T. Gore
Ben Zobrist
Mike Montgomery
Jorge De La Rosa
Jesse Chavez

Cain and Jeffress were originally shipped off to KC by the Brewers when the Brewers traded for Donny "Zack" Greinke back in 2010. Jeffress actually found his way back to Milwaukee in 2014 only to get traded to Texas and then traded back to Milwaukee when he flamed out with the Rangers last season.

Man, that Zimmerman contract is a all-time bad one.

I thought Alec Mills was a huge Royals prospect who never made it.

I can’t see the Tigers winning a game. Tonight was probably as close as they will have gotten.

I think you usually want to win at least one game from a series even if you are out of it and just waiting to go home. The brewers scoring at this rate is becoming ridiculous. They are due for a shutout. They are completely capable of it as they have shown all season.

I cribbed my lists from Pete Grathoff. Blame Pete for missing Alec Mills.

https://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-c ... 03050.html

Royals fans on twitter bitching that Mills would be their 2nd best starter if the Royals hadn't traded him to the Cubs. Royals probably thought they were making out in the deal; trading a 22nd rounder like Mills for 2nd rounder Donnie Deewees. What was Theo thinking taking Deewees in the 2nd round anyhow.

Tiger starters next 2 games:

Daniel Norris 0-5 5.22 ERA

Spencer Turnbull 0-1 5.73 ERA

Brewers have Wade Miley going tomorrow and TBA listed for Sunday. Brewers no doubt will throw a non-playoff roster starter out Sunday if they lose tomorrow and the Cubs win, locking them into the wild card.

On the topic of failed Royal pitchers, I remember hearing about how amazing Aaron Crow would be maybe four years before he was even drafted. What happened there.

If I can't have Hendricks or Lester, Hamels is the next best thing today.

Hendricks looked terrific yesterday. One of the better outings I have ever seen him pitch.
