Robel Garcia hit his 18th hr this season tonight. He has raked at both AA and AAA so far. At some point you have to give him a shot. That is some outrageous production.

The Super 2 service time crap. They called him up too early and then sent him back down to most likely get them back under the max games for him to qualify. I am not positive it matters though with the CBA ending before he even enters arbitration.

The fans up here are not happy about it. Travis Shaw is hitting a cool .170 with a ton of strikeouts while this guy hit .280 with 5 hr and 9 rbi in just over 2 weeks of time with the team. I think Shaw has 5 hr and 11 rbi on the entire season.

that's what stings the most. the brewers are 3-7 in their last 10 and the cubs haven't taken advantage of that to give some space. cardinals aren't going away either at only 3 games back, and even the reds aren't out of it.

this team needs to go on a run but they aren't built for one.

I think the bullpen will be fine if they can grab a lefty from somewhere. Kyle Ryan ain't gonna cut it. Cishek, Strop, Alzolay, and Kimbrel can hold things down from the right side. Edwards has been better lately but hasn't gained trust for pressure situations.
