Wow, for all those extra walks and fewer K's Rizzo has really kicked the shit out of poor Abreu in statistics like batting average, slugging, OPS, OBP. But I'm with you, those ones really don't matter. Who cares if Abreu is like 20% (conservatively) more productive in creating runs than Rizzo? Rizzo costs less and plays marginally better defense at the least important defensive position on the diamomd!

It took a massive improvement from Rizzo for there even to be any doubt about Stone's comment being right.

Fucking Rizzo looks as good at the plate against lefties as any lefty I recall ever seeing. Abreu is gonna have to hit 40+ bombs to make up for his other shortcomings in comparison.
