Matt Szczur- OF- For some reason he has kind of fallen off the radar...probably due to Almora,Baez and Soler taking all the attention. He is batting .299 with 2 hr and 12 rbi. He also has 6 steals. I believe he is on a major league deal which should make him out of options pretty damn soon.

I better not have have bought a discounted Hail Szczur! shirt in Daytona for nothing.

Vitters has been activated from the 7-day DL and is eligible to play for Iowa now. He didn't play yesterday because dead ass Stewart was in the lineup which means he will be activated by the big league team sooner than later

Vogelbach has been on a tear with 3 hrs in the last 3 games. 5 on the year now.

From what I've read, Stewart has an option remaining so they'll undoubtedly keep his sorry ass in the cornfields of Iowa.

The Valbuena/Ransom platoon actually has been pretty decent.

If Stewart ever starts hitting, they will probably look to trade him to some team desparate for 3B help.

I can't believe he still has one left. I would put his ass down in AA seeing as he can't hit .100

The Cubs are a team that is desperate for 3B help.

Vitters is back. Hitting .385 over 3 games with a HR and 2 rbi.

Stewart hasn't played since May 1st. Maybe his dead ass refused his assignment or is just flat out benched.

Jackson is on the DL.

Bogusevic is still hitting over .400- it should also be noted that he is probably a better pitcher than Marmol.

You can close the book on Garza for the day. 54 pitches 3 1/3 IP. 1 ER but that really isn't his fault. He gave up a 1 out bunt single and then got the hook. God awful Cory Wade came in the game and is still not out of the inning.

He probably needs 2 more starts. 45 pitches or 3 innings, 55 pitches or 4 innings, 65 pitches or 5 innings, 75 pitches or 6 innings is my guess on their rehab program.

Soler with a bomb in an otherwise bad game for Daytona. He hasn't done shit really since his suspension.
Baez has been so-so thus far with Daytona.
Saunders has been awful this season. 9 sb is good but the average is in Adam Dunn territory and he has struck out in 1/3 of his ab's. Time to pick it up or go to Kane County.

Any word on his velocity?

Someone mentioned that he was in the mid 90's today-94-95 range. I don't remember him throwing much harder than that ever.

Jackson returned today and had 2 hits.

Stewart sat the bench again. That has to be a shit show of a clubhouse with him pulling the crap he did last week and now them pulling him for the 40 man and not playing him.

Ha is on the DL in TN which I was unaware of.

Saunders has had a few hits recently but his average is still under the Mendoza line.

I'd rather see Vitters than Stewart. I still cannot figure out their reluctance to cut Stewart. He sucks.

I think they are firmly engaged in a classic pissing match right now to see who quits first. Cubs vs Stewart.

I would rather see Vitters at some point but he has only been playing a week.

good call on Stewart. They probably want to make it as miserable as possible for him. What a fuckstick.

It should also be noted that the Cubs have removed the facial hair policy that once existed in the minors. This means absolutely nothing except the potential for some cool beards.

Why is Jackson not in CF? No one needs to see Bogusevich or fucking Sappelt in center.

Dickhead Stewart is finally out of the shithouse and is starting for the first time in probably 10 days. There is absolutely no reason Vitters should get bumped to first for this clown.

Dillon Maples pitched in KC today. Not awful but not all that good either. He left the game with the lead but God Awful Lendy Castillo gave it up as he has everytime he has been on the mound. He better be hurt because if he sucks this much then they wasted a roster spot for absolutely no reason last year.

The Rock Shoulders and Vogelbach show wasn't in its prime that night? You probably saw Lendy Castillo spot the other team 8 runs over the first 3 innings.

Shoulders didn't play. Vogelbach grounded out twice and popped up on the infield (thoughts on him later). Candelario hit 3 missiles but made 2 errors on routine plays (the team made 6 errors). Some guy named Heasch pitched and he's real bad. I hope to get out there again to see Almora.
