You should have heard that pretentious douche Speigal waxing poetic about the entire night on Saturday. He places himself in the "professionals" group like Vedder versus those doing it for fun like Theo and Len. Spegs has zero stage presence for a man who fronts a band "30 times per year"

That stage is jam packed with guys dressing in their own version of what they think the guys in their 20s wear. Joe's interpretation of how the kids are dressing these days is Mark Zuckerberg

I've always been a sports fan, but when I was really into music, sports took a backseat. The worlds don't really mix that well. Sports bring fathers and sons together. Music tears them apart. At least in my time. I guess nowadays you have three generations going to see the Stones together. That seems a little odd to me.

I never looked at it that way. I have always been a sports guy and have no musical interests or talent. My kids laugh at the music I play while running on the tread mill. So what if there's several Rocky soundtrack songs on my Spotify running playlist?

Well, the generation gap between me and my father is undoubtedly bigger than the one between, for example, Favre Fan and his dad. The concept of the "teenager" is a post-WWII creation of advertisers. My dad was born in 1925. He was never a teenager. When I played my music, he just heard noise. Although he did become very excited if the Who's "Squeezebox" came on the radio. He thought that was very clever. I consider it a two-Hanley joke and a mediocre rock song.
