I want to like this nerd so much. It gives hope to the IMU's of this world that they can succeed athletically looking like a twizzler.

But starts like yesterday are becoming the norm where he gives up 4-5 in 6 innings. It's not too bad in the grand scheme but it always feels like every start could've been much worse. Getting lit up for 4 in 5 or 6 is a becoming personal victory for him.

He gives off a Randy Wells/Rich Hill vibe. His run of nerdluck is running out and he's entering Edwin suckass territory.

EDIT: add that useless bum haren to the suckswagon

Do people understand that a pitching staff is not going to consist of 5 starters with a 2 ERA? Hendricks is fine. He is a 4/5 pitcher. His ERA is hovers around 4 which means he gives the Cubs a chance to win. That's what you want.

His biggest issue is that he hasn't been able to give them a consistent 6 innings. If he can do that, then he is exactly what the Cubs need.

At least he has rosy cheeks. That clean cut white boy look will attract the fat broads from the farm lands to come out to the ballpark. He's the Cubs Clay Aiken!

Pretty sure Clay isn't hooking up with broads.

But he can't go 6-7. His junk gets crushed the 3rd time through the order.

Need a Shark type who sucks like Hendricks but at least tosses a guaranteed 6 every outing.

Nothing like the Maddux comparison from our homer broadcasters last night.

Too young to give up on, but he can't walk people like the 1st inning last night. He tries to nibble way too much. Eventually guys stop swinging. Maybe his stuff isn't good enough for the Major League level, and certainly this is aplace where the Cubs will look to upgrade in 2016.

This will all be solved next year.

Arrieta
Cueto/Grienke
Price
Lester
Hammel

It's gonna happen.

Kyle Hendricks 2.4 WAR. Not bad for a 3rd or 4th starter.

causing no sleepless nights in Texas (yes, I know it was another trade)

When you guys put your knees down on the ground in your blue footie pajamas while praying to Theo before you go to bed, remember that you are a world series contender THIS YEAR but that your management refused to improve the team in the hopes of being competitive in the future

Two years ago I beat Corey Kluber 1-0....Today, I walked my 2 pugs while wearing a "pug life" t-shirt. Life comes at you fast.
